Sony's Santa Monica Studio has released the long-awaited Ultimate Balance Update for PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale.

Community team leads from Guerrilla, Media Molecule, Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica and Sony Xdev will be present at PAX East 2014 selling limited edition items, Naughty Dog community strategist Eric Monacelli announced via the PlayStation Blog. The gathering is part of the PlayStation Worldwide Studios Community Exchange. Attendees who stop by booth 608 will be able to grab limited-edition T-shirts for Killzone Shadow Fall, The Last of Us, God of War and more, as well as varied artwork, pins and a "toothpick glass." Other items include a LittleBigPlanet phone case and mug, as well as Tearaway keychains. The booth will also sell 77 limited-edition statues, available to the public for the first time, of Infamous Second Son's protagonist, Delsin, for $150. The statue (pictured above) will only be available April 12.

Seth Killian has confirmed his departure from Santa Monica Studios, revealing that he left Sony back in December of last year "on great terms."

So why then has he decided to leave the folks at Santa Monica? Apparently, the indie scene has inspired him to go off and do his own thing. He explained on Twitter:

In addition, Killian teased PlayStation gamers in another post, saying that Santa Monica Studios has some really exciting stuff in the works.

The Sony first-party studio has an amazing track record, so there's plenty of reason to be excited. Might we finally get a God of War IV announcement this year at E3? Just imagine how amazing a next-gen take on that series would look!
